Home Learning Support
At St Helen’s, the staff and I are so incredibly proud of everything the children have achieved at school and in the wonderful efforts they have made with their families when working at home. Our families should be equally proud of themselves!
When schools were asked to close, we wanted the time to be seen as a golden opportunity for the children to show how they have developed as learners this year. They continue to surprise us all with the many wonderful photos and messages of the super learning taking place at home.
Since schools closed, we have provided advice and support to help families get the best out of the home learning opportunities being provided. We are continuing to use Hamilton Trust, an educational organisation to support Literacy and Numeracy Planning and Resources. These resources have been developed specifically for parents supporting their children at home. We have also continued to add further links to educational websites too!
Our teaching team have also developed home learning packs, written specifically for the children and you can either e-mail your child's class teacher for a pack or continue to pick up a paper based version from school.
You can continue to e-mail your child’s class teacher directly for any further advice and support and they will do their best to get back to you within the school day where possible:

The DfE have brought together an initial list of online educational resources to help children to learn at home.
These websites have been identified by some of the country’s leading educational experts and offer a wide range of support and resources for pupils of all ages.
